Wormy Maple
Wormy maple gets its name from the trails and small holes left behind by the ambrosia beetle in maple trees long before the tree became furniture, and instead of sanding that history away, we let it shine through. The result is a warm, textured wood grain with rich variation: streaks, mineral flecks, and organic markings that no two boards share. It's the choice for anyone who wants furniture with personality. Wormy maple brings rustic charm and a lived-in warmth that suits farmhouse, cabin, and eclectic modern spaces alike. It's proof that "imperfect" can be the most beautiful option in your home.Wormy Maple Texture Options
Please note: Dining chairs are only available in a smooth texture.
Smooth
Wormy maple sanded down to a smooth, consistent texture.
Ruff Cut
Visible ridges, fine parallel lines, and small grooves created by the cutting blade. Lacks the smooth, sanded finish and offers a rustic appearance.
Hand Planed
Features soft, subtle undulations, low ridges, and shallow concave scoops left by a wood plane. It feels organic with a mix of smooth, sheared wood fibres and gentle dips that catch the light in different ways.
Random Planed
Created by running the wood through a hand-guided or varied planer pass, leaving gentle, uneven ripples across the surface instead of a perfectly flat finish.
Brushed
Brushed texture is created by running a wire brush over the wood surface, wearing away the softer grain while leaving the harder grain raised, giving the wood a subtle ridged texture you can see and feel.
Saw Effect
Saw effect recreates the look of rough-sawn lumberthrough a controlled process, leaving visible saw marks and slightly uneven surface instead of a smooth planed finish. It offers the appearance of rough-sawn wood with a manageable, smoother surface.

Maple Finishes
Maple's grain is fine, tight, and consistent, giving every piece a smooth, refined look that never feels dated. It's available in two options: Brown Maple, which shows more natural variation and colour movement in the wood, and White Maple, a more uniform wood that's especially well suited to lighter finishes. Both work with almost any decor style, from modern minimalist to traditional, and take stain beautifully. Beyond the look, maple is prized for its strength and durability. It resists dents and wear, which makes it a smart choice for pieces that see daily use, such as dining tables and chairs. It's understated, dependable, and built to hold up for generations.

Red Oak Finishes
Red Oak has a bold, prominent grain with warm reddish undertones, giving pieces a strong look that feels substantial the moment you see it. No two boards read exactly the same, but the character stays consistent: straight lines, open grain, and a warmth that deepens with age. It's also one of the toughest hardwoods around. Red oak stands up to heavy use without complaint, making it a natural fit for dining sets, bedroom furniture, and anything that needs to handle everyday family life for decades. If you want furniture that looks the part and outlasts trends, this is it.

White Oak Finishes
White oak has become the wood of choice for people who want something timeless with a modern edge. Its grain is straighter and tighter than red oak, with cooler, more neutral tones that range from light beige to soft brown. That understated palette is exactly why it pairs so well with today's design trends, from Scandinavian-inspired spaces to warm minimalist interiors. White oak is dense, durable, and naturally resistant to moisture and wear.
